Oil prices may have receded from the peak levels. But this is temporary. OPEC expects the oil prices to go $200 per barrel. Given our countries huge oil import bill it just makes matters worse.
The Government cannot subsisdise the oil marketing companies at this level, it would time for Government to rethink it strategy. One suggestion would be to make oil costlier for personal use like car, bikes etc, forcing them to look at public transportation systems and car pooling kind of ideas.
Meanwhile to keep inflation under control, make oil little cheaper for commercial use.
Above all, strangely only in our country diesel is cheaper than petrol. This needs to be fixed as well.
